Terms and Conditions

1. Booking and Payment

1.1 A booking is confirmed once a deposit of 25% of the total fee has been received.
1.2 The remaining balance is due no later than 60 days before the start date.
1.3 Bookings made within 60 days of the start date must be paid in full at the time of booking.

2. Cancellations

2.1 All cancellations must be made in writing (email accepted).
2.2 Refunds are available as follows:
– More than 91 days before the start date: 100% refund (minus deposit).
– Between 80-61 days: 50% refund.
– Less than 60 days: no refund.
2.3 If the guide cancels due to safety concerns, adverse conditions, illness, or other unforeseen circumstances, a full refund (minus unrecoverable expenses) or an alternative date will be offered.

3. Insurance

3.1 Clients must have adequate travel, medical, and rescue insurance covering mountaineering
activities and/or skiing/snowboarding in the relevant country.
3.2 Proof of insurance may be requested prior to the trip.

4. Client responsibilities

4.1 Clients must provide accurate information regarding fitness, health conditions, and previous experience.
4.2 Clients must follow all safety instructions given by the guide.
4.3 The guide reserves the right to terminate guiding services if client behaviour, ability, or condition poses a danger to themselves or others.

5. Guiding and Safety

5.1 Mountain activities involve inherent risks, including (but not limited to) avalanches, rockfall, slips, falls, altitude illness, and adverse weather. By signing this document, the client accepts these risks.
5.2 The guide will make final decisions regarding safety, route choice, and itinerary changes.

6. Equipment

6.1 A personal equipment list will be provided before the trip.
6.2 Clients are responsible for bringing appropriate equipment in good condition.
6.3 Where possible, equipment hire may be arranged by prior agreement.

7. Itinerary Changes

7.1 Itineraries may be altered due to weather, mountain conditions, or client ability.
7.2 The guide is not liable for any compensation due to changes made in the interest of safety.

8. Liability

8.1 The guide is a qualified IFMGA Mountain Guide and holds professional insurance in line with regulations of the country they are working in.
8.2 Clients participate voluntarily and accept responsibility for the inherent risks of mountaineering.
8.3 The guide shall not be held liable for accidents, injuries, or property loss unless caused by proven negligence.
